Targeted Intervention Teacher This is a pilot position for the 2026–2027 school year
Targeted Intervention Teacher provides targeted Tier 2 English Language Arts instruction for students in grades K–2. This role delivers both push-in and pull-out services, offering small- group instruction within the classroom and in a separate setting based on student needs. The teacher focuses on developing foundational literacy skills and collaborates closely with classroom teachers to ensure alignment with core instruction. Key Responsibilities ? Provide Tier 2 ELA support to K–2 students through a combination of push-in and pull- out services ? Deliver targeted small-group instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension ? Use assessment data to identify student needs and form flexible instructional groups ? Monitor student progress regularly and adjust instruction based on data ? Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention strategies with core literacy instruction ? Coordinate and facilitate professional development opportunities aligned with district goals and instructional priorities. ? Participate in MTSS/RTI meetings and contribute to data-based decision-making ? Communicate effectively with staff and families regarding student progress
Qualifications ? Valid teaching certification in Elementary Education ? Strong knowledge of early literacy development (K–2) ? Experience providing small-group instruction, including Tier 2 support ? Understanding of the science of reading and evidence-based literacy practices ? Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills.
